SOME HELPFUL HINTS By removing larger trees, undesirable trees, and grape vines you will increase the growth of your more desireable timber. 1. Logs 12'6" and over bring the best price. 2. Take straight logs with straight grain, no limbs, bumps or defects. 3. Cherry has the most value in our area. 4. If you are trying to develop wildlife and Timber let your grape vines grow on undesirable trees and remove them from you good trees. 5. We cut all the smaller tops and limbs into fire wood, and the brush is piled for wildlife habitat. 6. Leave your old dead trees stand to create homes for various animals, you can also girt undesirable trees to create dead standing habitat. |
